If you cover it with foil and on bake it 400 degrees for 1hr:15min-1hr:30min.but I still always check it with a fork or a toothpick.I don't make alot of casseroles either,if you like give it a try……thanks!

I know it's just a question of finding the right balance between temperature and time but damn it's hard sometimes. In the end I bought a mandoline and cut the potato really thin and uniform. It doesn't help if you want chunky slices of potato though. Love the recipe. I almost never make casseroles – should remedy that I think
