"Vennigret" Russian beet salad

This salad is almost everybody’s favorite. It’s healthy and the color is very vibrant. It’s usually done with homemade sour cabbage (Sauerkraut) but some people make it with store bought, and say its still good. I never tried using store bought, and didn’t make it myself either, because my mom makes it all the time, so I just ask her to add one cabbage head extra for me.I’m including the link how to make it. it’s really simple.http://everydayrussian.com/?p=492

This salad is great for parties because it can be done day ahead, and it tastes even better.
